Save the internet video

Just think about how horrible it would be if you actually had won. Then the government who is not on the technological forefront and doesn’t actually understand all the complexities of packet switching technology would then write laws telling internet providers how to route traffic.

Do you even know what “Quality of Service” is? Look it up. Because it stands directly opposed to what you are trying to do. So great lets have the government tell us that ever single packet that flows on the internet should be treated exactly the same. Then you will become the type of hypocrites that turn right back around and complain that your internet service provider provides horrible service because all of your voice over IP calls are dropping and you can’t get video on demand worth a damn.

In fact just throw VoIP away, throw it completely away because it and any other substantial technology breakthroughs that require QoS markings will be totally useless! The government does not know how to switch packets! Let the government do what they are good at and let internet service providers do what they are good at.

In a completely “net neutral” world what would happen is that the intensive users will end up hogging what is now limited bandwidth and the ordinary consumer will be effectively shut out. If net neutrality takes effect ALL consumers will have to pay more. The occasional internet user who is not interested in YouTube will be forced to subsidize other users who heavily use bandwidth intensive sites such as YouTube. Thus “net neutrality” is financing the enterprises of big corporations like Google.

What your doing is so completely out of touch with reality it is appalling. Why don’t you actually learn how packet switching technology works before you decide you want to legislate it because based on everything you said you really haven’t proven to me that you even have a clue what QoS is or why it is important… so please just stop. Stop lying to the American people and stop stirring up their anger about a make believe enemy. Stop trying to stoke fear that corporations are trying to take over the internet. STOP please… just stop.
